A sequel to the 2018 blockbuster, Meg 2: The Trench takes us back to the depths of the Mariana Trench, the deepest part of the ocean. This time, the team of scientists and adventurers is faced with an even more terrifying threat.
Jason Statham reprises his role as Jonas Taylor, the former Navy SEAL turned deep-sea diver. He’s joined by a new crew, including a marine biologist and a tech genius. Together, they embark on a mission to explore a newly discovered underwater cave system within the Mariana Trench.
However, their peaceful exploration is quickly interrupted when they encounter a prehistoric creature even more fearsome than the Megalodon: a colossal, ancient sea serpent known as the Elasmosaurus. This creature, with its long, serpentine body and powerful jaws, poses a deadly threat to the team and their submersible.
As the Elasmosaurus wreaks havoc, the team must find a way to escape the underwater cave system and reach the surface before they become trapped forever. Meanwhile, a mysterious organization is also lurking in the shadows, with their own nefarious plans for the creatures of the deep.
